It strikes me that my character Conqueress is overtaking Heraclea as a favorite subject for my art. Heraclea is based on Wonder Woman, of course, and I've more or less lost interest in current incarnations of Wonder Woman. Conqueress's characterization is quite similar to Heraclea's in that she's a character who will resist until the end; even more so than Heraclea she is untamable. Which means showing that she is so in the pictures, of course.

It's probably already for the worst of reasons that's she's starred in the steampunk series, pitting her against vaguely nineteenth century fanciful bondage technology. She also gets my most hulkish and robust figure studies anyways, so from my perspective if anything I think I favor her, and so she naturally tends to get epic scenes. I've always had second thoughts about the way I treat my main Black character, but I've always shrugged that off with "is she really treated differently from my White characters?"

Now I am tempted to add a bit of American historical grim and gritty. Talk me out of this. If you care. Or encourage me.
